Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while ensuring the smooth running of the nursery in compliance with all regulatory standards. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and a solid understanding of early childhood education principles.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Maintain compliance with all legal requirements, health and safety regulations, and childcare standards.
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress and wellbeing.
Organise staff rotas, oversee recruitment, training, and performance management processes.
Ensure the nursery is well-maintained, clean, organised, and fully equipped for daily activities.
Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting as required.
Promote continuous improvement through staff development programmes and staying updated with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
Extensive working knowledge of childcare practices and early childhood education frameworks.
Experience working directly with children across various age groups.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between nursery locations or community engagements.
Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
Ability to organise workload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. This role is ideal for a passionate childcare professional looking to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional early years education and care. The successful candidate will be committed to fostering a safe environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while supporting their families through excellent communication and personalised care plans.

Pay: £39,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
