Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Front of House (FOH) team member to join our vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic team setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately while providing excellent customer service.
Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and display cases.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and optimise customer satisfaction.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
