Flexographic Printer – Job Description

Role Overview

As a Flexographic Printer, you will operate and maintain flexographic printing press (BOBST M4, Mark Andy) to produce high-quality printed materials on substrates such as self-adhesive paper and film. The role involves setting up printing plates, mixing inks, and monitoring print quality while ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate 8 colour flexographic printing press (BOBST M4, Mark Andy).
Mount printing plates and cylinders correctly.
Prepare and mix inks to required colour specifications.
Adjust machine settings (speed, pressure, alignment) to ensure print quality.
Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration, and consistency.
Inspect printed materials for defects and maintain quality standards.
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Troubleshoot mechanical or printing issues during production.
Maintain production records and job documentation.
Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Skills and Experience

Experience operating flexographic printing presses.
Knowledge of printing processes, substrates, and inks.
Ability to read job sheets and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under production deadlines.
Teamwork and communication skills.

Working Hours / Shift Pattern:

This role operates on a two-shift rotation from Monday to Friday:

Morning Shift: 05:50 – 13:25
Afternoon Shift: 13:25 – 21:00

On Fridays, shorter shifts apply:

Morning Shift: 06:00 – 12:00
Afternoon Shift: 12:00 – 18:00

Salary

Salary: Highly Competitive, depending on experience.
