Overview:
Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Chichester in their search for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position teaching History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
Encourage students to develop an understanding of historical events, interpretations, and sources through engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning.
Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and essay-writing skills.
Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to plan schemes of work and share best practice.
Adapt teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
Strong subject knowledge across the History curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
