Support Critical Legal Operations in a Dynamic Consulting Environment
Tetra Tech has an opportunity for an experienced Legal Administrator to join our Legal Team in Abingdon. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting legal operations across our Consulting business units while working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
This position offers flexible working arrangements, with consideration given to both full-time and four-day-per-week working patterns. As part of a collaborative legal team, you will provide essential administrative and legal support, helping to manage legal processes, systems and procedures, and coordinate contractual documentation across the business.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Legal Administrator, you will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Legal Team, acting as a central point of coordination for legal requests and enquiries. You will help ensure that contracts, legal documentation and governance processes are administered efficiently, accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
You will be responsible for managing legal workflows, maintaining legal records and supporting contract review activities through our contract lifecycle management systems. Working closely with legal professionals and stakeholders across the business, you will help progress matters promptly while delivering a high standard of service to internal clients.
The role combines structured administration, stakeholder engagement, process management and problem solving. From supporting contract execution through to maintaining legal systems, you will contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Legal Team while gaining exposure to a broad range of commercial and legal activities.

By maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation and supporting legal workflows, you will enable the Legal Team to deliver responsive and commercially focused support across the organisation.
In the short term, you will develop a strong understanding of legal processes, internal systems and business requirements while becoming a trusted point of contact for legal enquiries. As your experience grows, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, support new technologies and help streamline legal operations through efficient administration and effective stakeholder engagement.
Over time, you will become a key contributor to the team's operational success, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping strengthen the delivery of legal services across the business. Your attention to detail, reliability and proactive approach will play an important role in maintaining high standards of governance, compliance and customer service.

Legal Administration & Process Coordination
- Previous experience in a Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant or comparable senior administrative role.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate documentation and support legal processes accurately and professionally.
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Contract Management & Documentation
- Experience supporting contract administration and document management activities, including document comparisons, record searches, filing and archiving.
- Confidence managing legal documentation throughout its lifecycle and supporting contract review processes using digital systems and workflow tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Professional, confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Comfortable and confident when acting as a first point of contact for legal queries, responding promptly and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders while maintaining discretion.
Technology, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications and adapting to new technologies and platforms.
- Experience with document management systems, contract lifecycle management tools or similar software is advantageous.
- Willing and able to embrace new technologies, including legal review tools, SharePoint, e-signature platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

Mandatory Requirements
You will have previous experience working as a Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant or within a similar high-level administrative role. You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with the confidence to engage with senior management and work independently. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, good general IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems and technologies are essential requirements for the role.
You will be a proactive team player with a professional approach, a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative support and the resilience to operate effectively within a busy and evolving environment.
Beneficial Experience
Experience supporting legal teams within a corporate, consultancy or professional services environment would be advantageous. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems, SharePoint, e-signature platforms and AI-enabled legal review tools would also be beneficial.
