Location: Guildford, Surrey (Office-based)
Employment Type: Full-time (Initial probation period applies)
Salary: £28,000–£35,000 basic + uncapped commission + performance bonuses

As our agency continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative to become the first dedicated member of our sales team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our business while building your own career within a fast-growing agency.

The Role

As our Sales Development Representative, your primary objective is simple:

Generate qualified sales opportunities for the agency.

You'll identify businesses that fit our ideal client profile, start meaningful conversations with decision-makers and book high-quality discovery meetings into the Director's diary.

You won't be expected to close deals. Your focus is creating opportunities by building relationships, qualifying prospects and generating genuine commercial interest.

This is not a high-pressure call centre role. We value quality over quantity and are looking for someone who enjoys speaking with people, understands business challenges and can open doors for our agency.

Responsibilities - Business Development

Identify and research businesses that match our ideal client profile.
Build and maintain prospect lists across multiple industries.
Prospect through phone calls, LinkedIn, email and networking.
Engage business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
Build relationships with prospective clients.
Generate new sales opportunities through proactive outreach.
Follow up previous enquiries and dormant leads.
Develop long-term relationships with prospects who may not yet be ready to buy.

Lead Qualification

Qualify prospects by understanding:

Their business goals
Current marketing activity
Existing website performance
Growth ambitions
Current challenges
Budget expectations
Decision-making process
Timescales

Only qualified opportunities should progress into discovery meetings.

Appointment Setting

Book qualified discovery sessions with our Director.

Before each meeting you'll ensure we have:

Company background
Key decision-maker details
Current marketing activity
Business objectives
Pain points
Notes from previous conversations

CRM Management

Maintain accurate records within HubSpot by:

Logging calls and emails
Updating prospect information
Managing follow-up activities
Keeping pipelines organised
Recording conversations and outcomes

Market Intelligence

Develop an understanding of:

Local and national markets
Competitor activity
Industry trends
Businesses showing growth potential
Opportunities where our services can create measurable value

What You'll Be Selling

You'll introduce businesses to services including:

Website Design & Development
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Google Ads Management
Paid Social Advertising
HubSpot CRM & Automation
Digital Marketing Strategy
Digital Discovery Consultations

Your role is to create interest and secure meetings—not to provide technical consultations or close sales.
