Full job description

SELF STORAGE ASSISTANT

PART TIME VACANCY

(MUST LIVE WITHIN 20 MINUTES DRIVE OF WR12 7HZ)

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and customer-focused Self Storage Assistant to join our friendly team on a permanent part-time basis.

This is a varied role combining customer service, reception and office duties with hands-on warehouse and facility maintenance work. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for both new and existing customers and will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our self-storage facility.

Working Hours

Monday: 8:15am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8:15am – 5:30pm
Saturday: 8:15am – 1:00pm
Sunday: 9:45am – 12:00pm

Additional flexibility is required to provide holiday cover when needed.

Pro rata holiday entitlement.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming and assisting new and existing customers
Managing reception and office administration duties
Answering telephone and email enquiries
Processing reservations, rentals and customer paperwork
Opening and closing the facility as a key holder
Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the site
Cleaning vacated storage units
Keeping corridors, external areas and communal spaces clean, tidy and safe
Carrying out general warehouse and operational duties as required

Essential Requirements

Previous customer service and/or retail sales experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-presented, sociable and professional
Enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude
Able to work independently and use initiative
Physically fit and capable of carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
Ability to learn new software systems quickly
Full UK driving licence
GCSE-level education or above
Punctual, dependable and trustworthy
Must be comfortable with dogs
Must live within approximately 20 minutes' drive of WR12 7HZ
