Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills, work within a welcoming atmosphere, and contribute to an enjoyable customer experience. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety standards.
Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions with precision.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or special requests.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow health and safety guidelines related to food handling and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to manage multiple orders during busy periods effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee and customer service to grow within a supportive environment while honing their professional skills.

Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
