Full job description

HOME Restaurant & Bar is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie or Grill Chef to join our existing kitchen team.

We’re an independent, busy restaurant focused on freshly prepared food, quality ingredients and dishes made properly from scratch. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with fresh food, takes pride in what leaves the kitchen and wants to be part of a strong, friendly team.

* A varied role working across sections, with a particular focus on the grill for the right candidate

The role

As a Chef de Partie / Grill Chef, you’ll work alongside our existing chefs to deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and cooking dishes to specification, running your section confidently during busy services, maintaining excellent standards of presentation and helping with prep, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.

For a Grill Chef, we’re particularly interested in someone confident cooking steaks and other proteins accurately and consistently during a busy service.

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally have experience working as a Chef de Partie, Grill Chef or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

* Has a genuine passion for cooking and fresh food

* Can remain organised and consistent during busy services

* Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail

* Understands food hygiene and kitchen standards

* Is reliable and works well as part of a team

* Is comfortable taking responsibility for their own section

* Wants to contribute ideas rather than simply turn up and cook
