Job Summary

Join our friendly, child focussed, nurturing swim school a Swimming Instructor.

Inspire confidence, promote safety, and foster a love for swimming among learners of all ages and skill levels.

In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that emphasize proper technique, water safety, and personal achievement.

Your enthusiasm and expertise will help individuals unlock their potential in the water while ensuring a safe, positive, and motivating environment for all participants.

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact through sport coaching and teaching.

Duties

Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, water safety skills, and stroke development with clarity and encouragement
Assess each participant’s progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing safety rules, supervising participants closely, and responding promptly to emergencies
Foster a positive atmosphere that motivates learners to challenge themselves and achieve their goals
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and safety incidents as required

Skills

Proven sports coaching experience with a focus on swimming or water-based activities
Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to communicate clearly and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds
Excellent knowledge of water safety protocols and rescue techniques
Ability to assess individual skill levels accurately and adapt instruction accordingly
Energetic personality with a passion for helping others develop confidence in the water
Good physical fitness to demonstrate techniques effectively and respond swiftly in emergency situations
Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal growth

Pay: £22.00-£25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Farnham GU10 5BD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Teaching swimming: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

Teacher Reacue, DBS, Level 2 teaching or equivalent (required)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required)
