Full job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Property Manager, the successful candidate will have a strong background in property and building maintenance, including plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry, and other general maintenance duties. This role is a multi-site role and requires someone who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our properties facilities.

Responsibilities:

Carry out ongoing maintenance of our properties and equipment, including plumbing (desirable), carpentry, decorating, minor electrical work and general repairs
Conduct inspections of building systems to identify and address issues before they become major problems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants, prioritising urgent repairs as needed.
Assist with minor carpentry work, painting, and other general maintenance tasks.
Keep accurate records of maintenance work completed and inventory of supplies.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors as needed for larger repair projects.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Prepare reports based on completed repairs works and property routine inspections.

Requirements:

Previous experience in similar role, e.g. maintenance, building services, plumbing (desirable), electrical
Excellent practical technical knowledge and ability to undertake hands-on building maintenance
Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems. (desirable)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn new skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must have own tools and reliable transport, as this is a multi-site role.
Relevant certifications or qualifications like fire safety or maintenance is a plus.
Sound knowledge and understanding of key compliance issues including Health and Safety legislation
Experience of contractor supervision
Experience of working with Planned Preventive Maintenance programme
Numerate and computer skills are essential
