Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and service of food at various events and establishments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for food safety. Previous experience in food preparation, guest services, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is highly desirable but not essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills within a dynamic team.

Driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
Serve meals to guests in a courteous and professional manner
Support with setting up the catering station for events
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Prior experience in hospitality, food preparation, or related roles such as restaurant, hotel, or catering services is advantageous
Experience driving vans is beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Excellent communication skills and polite
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
Organised with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work during peak hours and including weekends
A positive attitude with a passion for guest services and hospitality excellence

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: £12.21 per hour
