Day & Night Care Assistant – The Croft Care Home

Please note: This position is offered on a self-employed basis, and visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

The Croft Care Home is a well-established residential care home located in the heart of Whalley, close to the High Street. We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Position Overview

We are seeking caring, reliable, and dedicated Day and Night Care Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working within a supportive and professional care environment.

Flexible working patterns are available, including day and night shifts on a rota basis, with alternate weekend working required.

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans
Support residents with personal care and daily living activities while promoting independence
Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, choice, and wellbeing at all times
Assist residents with mobility, nutrition, hydration, and social engagement
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies
Follow safeguarding procedures and health and safety guidelines
Work collaboratively as part of a care team to ensure the highest standards of care

Person Specification

Previous experience working within an elderly residential care setting is essential
Caring, compassionate, and professional approach to care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable, organised, and adaptable
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
Relevant care training and certifications are advantageous

Additional Information

Enhanced DBS check required prior to commencement
Location: Lancashire, BB7 9SN

Full-time position
Rotational shifts, including alternate weekends
