About Us

Coatbridge Commercials Ltd is a busy and growing commercial vehicle dealership specialising in the sales and preparation of vans and light commercial vehicles. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Mechanic / Technician to join our workshop team.

This role will mainly involve preparing and repairing commercial vehicles for retail sale, ensuring vehicles are presented to a high mechanical standard before delivery to customers.

The Role

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Diagnosing and repairing faults on commercial vehicles and vans
Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
Clutches, timing belts/chains, brakes, suspension, and engine work
Vehicle inspections and preparation for sale
Diagnostic work using modern diagnostic equipment
DPF diagnosis and regeneration work
MOT preparation and general workshop duties
Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a mechanic/technician
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles and vans
Ability to diagnose faults efficiently
Good work ethic and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence
At least a minimum of 5 years experience working as a mechanic (Qualifications are essential)

Preferred Experience:

Experience rebuilding or repairing engines
Experience with diagnostics and DPF systems
Experience working on Ford Transit, Peugeot Boxer, Mercedes Sprinter, Renault Trafic, etc.
MOT Tester qualification
