Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with daily shop operations, and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic retail setting, supporting the smooth running of our shop and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Hours to include every other Saturday 8am-4pm ,Monday 1–4pm other shifts where necessary

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
Provide information about products and services available in the shop
Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Restock shelves and organise displays to maintain an attractive shopping environment
Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and deliveries
Support team members with various administrative tasks as required
Communicate effectively with customers and team members, both in English and Spanish if applicable

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
Friendly, approachable, and able to work well within a team environment
Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and products
