Call Assist was founded in 1998 and specialises in providing 24/7 vehicle assistance services, primarily following a breakdown or accident for c2 million customers. We reach our customers fast by working with our networks of independent Recovery Operators situated throughout the UK and Europe.
Call Assist works with many companies providing a white labelled rescue service on their behalf has two direct trading brands, Gem Motoring Assist and Start Rescue. The Marketing Department is responsible for growing our brands and delivering marketing and communication initiatives. Working across all brands, the core focus of this role will involve the planning and implementation of a wide range of design projects, to support the overall marketing promotions plan.

Job purpose:
We are looking for a Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator, who boasts an impressive portfolio, fantastic creative skills and 3 years+ experience in working in a similar role, to join our small marketing team. You will be the only graphic designer in the team, so use and understanding of design tools is imperative.
You will be involved in every stage of the creative process, from brief to completed artwork. The role will include everything from website design to print, along with other admin elements of marketing such as data entry, social media and other duties to help and assist the team.
The main duties of this role:
- Produce reports and formatted templates for the company, including Document formatting and presentation design
- Work with the Marketing Manager in developing a social media calendar, and produce and execute social media posts, including overseeing the development and management of paid social media ads, for each brand
- Online and offline Graphic Design – campaigns, website design, email, display etc.
- Create and co-ordinate email marketing campaigns (monthly newsletters / promotional emails)
- Be the guardian of the brand guidelines and ensure that all materials are kept consistent
- Assist with website copy and design updates, including the publishing of regular blog articles
- Monitor review platforms / social media platforms and liaise with internal colleagues where appropriate, to ensure comments are responded to.
- Utilise Hotjar to highlight pinch points within the customer journey and work with the management team to suggest improvements to the web layout / customer journey.
- Provide support in liaising with external partners for PPC and Meta Ads, SEO and affiliate campaigns, as well as other third-party providers.
- General marketing administration requirements
- Strictly adhere to FCA compliance requirements in relation to all marketing activities
Essential skills, knowledge & experience:
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Graphic Designer
- Extensive and demonstrable experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and video editing tools
- High understanding of digital trends
- Print, email and online advertising design experience
- Excellent understanding for branding, typography, layouts and UI/UX
- Experience in creating and designing social posts as well as running campaigns
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Optimize
- Ability to put together videos and animations would be beneficial
- Understanding of affiliates would be advantageous but not essential

Monday – Friday - 09:00 - 17:30
Permanent – 37.5 hours per week
