Job Overview

Cherry Picked is a premium home services marketplace launching across Essex this summer. Our name says it all — we're carefully selecting the very best cleaners in the area to join our founding team of professionals. This isn't mass recruitment. We're looking for a small, hand-picked group of skilled, reliable cleaners who take genuine pride in their work and want to be part of something with real ambition behind it.

This is a self-employed opportunity. You'll work for yourself, set your own hours, choose your own travel radius, and accept or decline bookings on your terms. We bring the clients, handle the bookings, payments and admin — you focus on doing what you do brilliantly.

We're not a faceless agency, and we're not after just anyone with a mop. We're a small, founder-led business building a genuinely premium service in Essex, and we want professionals who share that standard.

We're launching across: Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Witham, Dunmow & Brentwood.

Cherry Picked launches July 2026. We're vetting and onboarding founding professionals now, ready to go live with bookings from launch day.

Who this is for:

Experienced self-employed cleaners (or those ready to make the move) who take real pride in their craft
Top local talent who want to be associated with a quality brand
People who care about the details and treat every client's home like it matters

What you'll do:

Carry out standard, deep and end-of-tenancy cleans for clients in your local area
Set your own working hours, days and travel radius through our pro app
Accept or decline bookings as they come in — you're always in control
Build long-term client relationships (clients can request you again)

What we offer:

Competitive set rates: £16.80/hr standard, £22.40/hr deep & end-of-tenancy
Reliable biweekly payouts every other Friday

Requirements:

Self-employed status (or willing to register as self-employed before starting)
Right to work in the UK
Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience (domestic or commercial)
Own equipment and reliable transport (essential)
Two contactable references
Happy to complete our vetting process (ID check, references)
Reliable, punctual, professional and genuinely lovely with clients
