Full job description

Location: Chelford, Cheshire

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 per annum

A private family based in Chelford is seeking an experienced, reliable and professional Housekeeper to support the day-to-day running of a large family home.

This is a permanent employed position offering a competitive salary, flexibility and the opportunity to work in a friendly family environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the property
General housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying and organising
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
Changing and laundering bed linen and towels
Monitoring and replenishing household supplies
Ensuring all areas of the home are presented to a consistently high standard
Supporting with other household tasks as required

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous housekeeping, cleaning or hospitality experience
Be trustworthy, discreet and professional
Take pride in maintaining high standards
Have excellent attention to detail
Be organised and able to work independently
Be reliable, proactive and self-motivated
Have the right to work in the UK

Experience working within a private household or high-end hospitality environment would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

What We Offer

Salary of £30,000 per annum
30-hour working week
Five weeks' annual leave
Permanent employed status with a formal employment contract
Friendly and respectful working environment
Long-term stability and job security

Please note that, due to the nature of the role, annual leave will generally be taken when the family is away from the property, with holiday dates agreed in advance wherever possible.
