Full job description

Lakeside Healthcare is a large GP partnership that provides NHS care for around 170,000 patients across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. We are made of eight GP practices across 14 sites that are part of their local communities.

We work together as practices to provide resilience, sharing learning and professional back-office support services.

About the Practice

Reporting to the Operations & Compliance Manager you will be our only maintenance person in the team dealing with the day to day maintenance issues. Working closely with Management Support team who will coordinate your jobs and responsibilities

Job Introduction

The suitable candidates would be able to undertake general maintenance and upkeep of grounds, buildings & equipment, as well actioning all maintenance and continuous review and improvement of facilities operations, ensuring the environment is compliant, safe and well maintained to the highest standards.

What you will do

To undertake general building maintenance and repairs throughout the Hub, including plumbing, minor electrical repairs/work, painting and decorating, and minor building work, including student houses

Weekly testing of emergency lighting, H&S checks and legionella testing
Maintain pathways/steps around buildings throughout the year
Assist with all deliveries
Keep tools and store room tidy
Emptying of public bins around all 3 sites

Essential Criteria

- Minimum of A-C GCSE or Equivalent in English and Maths

- Experience in a maintenance environment, fabric of the building

- Ability to travel across our Corby & Brigstock sites

Desirable Criteria

- Electrics, plumbing skills

- Experience in Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Water quality, Electrical safety

- Experience in a Health Care environment
