Full job description

We are a well established and busy Accountancy practice in Coventry looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant.

We are open to interviewing candidates that are interested in both full time and part time positions.

This role is well suited to those who are:

- Organised

- IT literate and have practical experience in MS Excel, cloud accounting systems (like Xero and Sage) and accounting software (Iris, TaxCalc, etc).

- Enjoy a varied job role

- Have good written and verbal communication skills

The main aspects of the job include:

- Preparing bookkeeping for VAT clients and preparation and submission of their VAT returns and EC Sales Lists

- Accounts preparation for Annual accounts

- Preparation of self assessment tax returns to review stage

- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients regarding their tax affairs

- Admin duties as necessary

Salary is dependent on experience.

On-site car parking is available.

Holidays are 20 days + 8 days bank holidays (pro-rated for part time staff)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
