Full job description

The Mill Stranmillis is looking for an experienced barista to join our team on a part-time basis.

Ideally this job will suit a student and will run during term time (but can be extended for the right candidate).

Please only apply if you can work Saturdays and Sundays - and possibly one day during the week when needed.

THIS IS FOR AN EXPERIENCED BARISTA ONLY!

We are a small, growing company that puts a huge emphasis on staff morale and a good working environment and we are keen to strengthen our team with someone who is passionate about coffee.

We like to do things a bit different and we are always on the lookout for people who will help us grow a small business with colossal potential into a major coffee and bagel brand.

As part of a small Front of House team, you will play a key role across all aspects, including serving customers and table service, as well as making a range of hot and cold drinks to a high standard.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a barista with impeccable latte art skills, possess excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Baristas at The Mill are expected to provide quality and consistent drinks for customers as well as upholding store standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate should be a team player with the ability to multi-task and take initiative.

Part-time

Salary - Dependent on age and experience

Job Duties:

Greet customers as they enter with a friendly smile
Prepare coffee and espresso beverages, with incredible latte art as standard
Serve customers their order following health, safety, and sanitation standards
Help with cafe clean-up at the end of shift
Maintain cleanliness of coffee bar area and floor
Knowledge of menu items and preparation methods
Work with a team to ensure that customers have a great experience
Work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Work as a team to help one another succeed in your roles
Assist with opening up and closing for the day

Experience:

Previous experience in a fast-paced cafe would be beneficical and a good understanding of coffee and latte art would allow you to hit the ground running
