The Greenhouse Kitchen & Restaurant at Blackdown Garden Centre is looking for enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our growing team. Experience is welcome but not essential—we're far more interested in people with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy, vibrant restaurant where no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Catering Assistant, you'll play an important part in ensuring every customer enjoys a welcoming and memorable visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting customers with a warm, friendly and professional manner.
Serving food, drinks and homemade cakes.
Preparing teas, coffees and other hot and cold beverages.
Assisting with light food preparation and kitchen duties.
Replenishing counters, displays and grab-and-go items.
Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables promptly.
Washing crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
Maintaining exceptional cleanliness throughout the restaurant and kitchen.
Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
Assisting with stock rotation and replenishment.
Supporting colleagues during busy service periods.
Handling customer enquiries professionally.
Operating tills and processing customer payments (training provided).
Helping create a welcoming atmosphere for every visitor.
Undertaking general cleaning duties to maintain high standards.
