Holiday cover – Temporary / Part Time driver
This role is a part time / temporary role to cover holiday. The role requires mainly EU driving (and some UK). We are based in Hook
Job title: Driver (7.5 tonne) – temporary contract for 2 months
Reporting to: The Warehouse Manager
Salary: Competitive daily rate
Hours: 2 weeks a month minimum (requires flexibility)
Location: Main Warehouse – Hook – with travel to and from the Czech Republic

Overview
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person who can come and join our small and friendly team on a temporary basis.
As one of our drivers, you will be reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated and we want you to share our passion for what we do. You will need to be ready to hit the ground running and quickly be able to integrate yourself in to the team.
You will be driving in our company vehicle (7.5 tonne truck) between Hook and Czech Republic. You will be required to do this every other week. A typical trip will be to leave our warehouse in Hook with a van full of stock, drive to our Czech warehouse, unload the goods, re load with customer orders and drive back to Hook. Sometimes via our other warehouse in Belgium to load more stock. There may be supplier trips to attend also throughout France and Germany.
We require the position to be filled ASAP and be with us until early September. We need this journey to be done twice a month with a degree of flexibility.

We are based in Hook, Hampshire, in our own lovely offices where we have several warehouses and workshops. We have recently taken on Warehouses in the EU. We buy vintage furniture all over Europe and sell globally to some very interesting and prestigious clients. We have had press coverage in The Times, The FT and in most major home interiors press.

Responsibilities and duties
Driving
· Responsible for the loading and unloading the company vehicle
· Regular communication with the office and warehouse manager with updates on your journey
· Driving between different UK and EU warehouses
· Driving to suppliers within UK and EU to collect stock
· Safely loading product on the truck
· Adhering to Health and Safety procedures and following the tachograph rules and the guidelines laid out by Merchant & Found
What we need
· A 7.5 tonne truck license
· A fully up to date tachograph license
· Previous experience driving a truck within Europe
· Reliability and flexibility is essential
· A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
· Enthusiastic and friendly
· Excellent team skills and communication
Pay: £12.21-£20.29 per hour
