Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and well-mannered Office Administrator / Sales Coordinator to join our busy team at Star Multifuels.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, including processing customer orders, supporting logistics, and ensuring smooth communication between the office, drivers, and yard. This is a fast-paced role where teamwork, strong customer service, and attention to detail are essential.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within a growing, family-run business. Office hours are 8am until 5pm

Responsibilities

Taking and processing customer orders over the phone and online
Providing excellent customer service in a polite, professional, and friendly manner
Managing and maintaining accurate customer and order records
Processing payments and assisting with invoicing
Assisting with wages and basic payroll duties
Planning and routing delivery vehicles efficiently
Liaising daily with drivers, yard staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
Managing emails, calls, and general office communications
Updating spreadsheets, systems, and filing (digital and paper records)
Supporting stock control and delivery scheduling
Assisting with general office administration and day-to-day operational tasks
Working closely with the team to ensure all customers are looked after, especially during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative, office, or customer service role preferred (but not essential)
Strong computer literacy and confidence using office systems
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with accounting software (Xero) or CRM systems is advantageous
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and manners
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Good time management and problem-solving skills
A positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
