Full job description

Operations & Business Development Manager

Location: Pembrokeshire (On-site)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
Type: Full-time

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Operations & Business Development Manager to take ownership of our 3PL operation and support two ecommerce businesses running from the same site.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the business, managing existing team leaders, and helping to grow the 3PL by handling enquiries and bringing in new business.

This is a key role working directly with the owner — ideal for someone who wants real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Do

Lead and support daily operations across warehouse and office (via managers)
Ensure warehouse, dispatch and customer service teams work efficiently together
Monitor productivity, service levels and operational performance
Maintain control of stock, purchasing, and workflow using our WMS
Act as the link between fulfilment and ecommerce
Respond to new business enquiries and supporting the onboarding of new customers
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Develop and improve systems, processes, and overall efficiency
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Company procedures
Create a positive, accountable and customer-focused culture across the business

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in an operations management role
Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfilment
Experience of using a total WMS (Helm) or similar ERP system
Confident managing people and holding standards
Commercial mindset — comfortable speaking to customers and quoting work
Highly organised, practical, and solutions-focused
Someone who takes ownership and gets things done
