You will be vital to our team who provide support to adults with a learning disability within our day service in Crowborough. Your work will have a real and positive impact on the lives of the people who attend the service and in return we can offer you a rewarding and fulfilling career.

As a Support Worker, you will support people with timetabled activities to promote friendships, teach independence skills and involve people in their local community.

As a Support Worker, within Day Services, you can make a real difference to a person’s day by providing practical assistance to clients by helping them make friends and develop social networks along with tasks such as support when eating or maintaining a standard of personal hygiene. You will also be there to provide emotional support to promote client’s health and mental wellbeing.

The full-time salary for this role is £25,989 to £26,403 per annum, which is equivalent to £13.50 to £13.72 per hour.

This role is for 37 hrs per week, working on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays (the service is closed on Wednesdays), therefore applicants will need to work two long days of 8.30am to 7pm and two standard days, either 8.30am to 4pm or 11.30am to 7pm on a rota basis, across the four working days. You will be able to bring your own skills and interest into the activities the service offers. This role includes supporting groups of people within the service and in the community to participate in learning, health and wellbeing activities on a planned basis.

We are looking for candidates who:

Can converse and are at ease with clients and their advocates
Can work effectively, both within the team and independently
Will support with personal care, medication administration, and other health related tasks
