Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Football Coach for our new u8s/u9s team to join Prodigy Elite FC (Prodigy Football). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and instructive football coaching sessions for children in the u8's & u9s age group. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop coaching skills within a supportive environment, fostering young players’ growth in sport and teamwork. The position is paid and ideal for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching, with a focus on creating a positive sporting experience for young athletes.

Further to the coaching role, there is an additonal paid role to manage teams in the league we are joining. Fixtures are played every week in Hounslow at 10am for u8s & 11am for u9s.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate football training sessions that promote skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment
Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for young players during all activities
Provide constructive feedback to players to support their development and confidence
Organise small-sided games and drills that align with programme objectives
Monitor player progress and adapt coaching methods accordingly
Encourage good sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among participants
Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is safe and well-organised
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding player progress and programme updates

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football or similar team sports
Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children aged 9 and under
Excellent organisational skills to plan effective training sessions
Ability to motivate young athletes and foster a positive learning environment
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
A passion for youth development through sport
Ability to work flexibly according to programme schedule
Will need access to own vehicle & willing to keep, transport & maintain equipment

Qualification

Minimum FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification (Essential)
Level 2/ UEFA C or B (Desirable)
Pediatric First Aid (Desirable) / First Aid Qualification (Essential/willing to obtain)

This role is ideal for individuals committed to inspiring young children through sport while developing their coaching expertise within a dynamic team environment.

Pay: £10.00-£30.00 per hour
