FULL TIME, SITE BASED IN LUTON - LU4 9DT
WORKING HOURS - CONTRACTED 40 HOURS PER WEEK
MONDAY TO THURSDAY 07:30AM UNTIL 16:30PM - EVERY FRIDAY EARLY FINISH - 13:30PM (UNLESS OVERTIME IS PLANNED)

Main Purpose of Role:

Main duties include working on a fast-paced assembly line to manufacture high quality garage doors, feeding raw materials into the production machinery, operating different parts of the machinery and packaging the finished goods before they are distributed. The use of hand tools are essential skills required to a decent level of competency.

Tape measure ( understanding either metric or imperial )
Battery drills
Files
Snips
Grinders
Saws ( band saw, chop saw)
And others

Key Tasks:

Measuring all raw materials in preparation for production
Willingness to work within the production process
Handling raw materials into the machinery
Operating the production machinery/tools in a professional, safe way
Taking pride and performing quality assurance/standard in your work
Cleaning the machinery and other parts of the production space
Maintaining suitable levels of reliability, timekeeping & attendance
Reporting machine/tool faults and reporting to direct reports
Maintaining work areas and equipment
Understands all company polices / procedures in regards to health & safety, PPE
Understands that housekeeping (5S) is part of our daily activities

Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
Good organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Willing to work as team player
Good physical strength and dexterity
Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
Excellent verbal communication
Should have a reliable mode of transportation
Work closely & constructively with colleagues
