Overview
Gossford Constructions are seeking a skilled and versatile Roofer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in all aspects of roofing as well as various construction and maintenance skills.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about hands-on work and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects.

The position involves working on-site for an independent, family run construction firm, contributing to the successful completion of building, repair, and fabrication tasks.

Duties

Carrying out all aspects of roofing work on residential, commercial and listed properties
Installing new roofs including pitched, flat and tiled systems
Stripping, repairing and replacing existing roofs
Working with materials such as slate, tile, felt, rubber (EPDM) and GRP systems
Lead work including flashing, valleys and chimney detailing
Installing and repairing fascias, soffits and guttering
Identifying faults, leaks and structural issues and carrying out effective repairs
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with strong attention to detail
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area at all times

Skills

Experienced in all aspects of pitched and/or flat roofing
Competence with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Experience in construction trades such as roofing and general building works
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights or with hazardous materials
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

£140 - £180 per day DOE

Working hours: 8 - 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Please note this role is based on a 3 month sub contract period to start, with the view of permanent employment for the right candidate.

Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day

Roofing: 5 years (preferred)
