Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Health Care Assistant, where your compassionate care and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. This role offers an energizing environment where you can develop your skills, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and provide vital assistance to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help promote well-being, independence, and comfort for clients of all ages and needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times
Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s specific needs and preferences
Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for clients in care homes or at home
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans and client progress reports
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless delivery of care services
Use IT systems efficiently to document care activities and update client information securely
Drive company vehicles when necessary to support home care visits or transport clients safely

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable
Valid driving license and ability to drive safely in various conditions
Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with clients, families, and colleagues
Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adapt to changing needs
Good IT literacy for recording data and managing electronic health records
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and active listening abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed
