REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER: Office Based in Kirkcaldy. Basic salary of £35k, plus commission.

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a driven Regional Account Manager to help develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will be a key member of our sales team, acting as the key point of contact for customers and the ‘glue’ that holds the team together. You will manage regular customer contact by phone and online meetings, handle incoming sales enquiries and orders, and ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service.

Working closely with the Regional Business Development Manager and wider team, you will ensure opportunities are followed up promptly, accurately documented and progressed through to conversion. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and other departments to support regional growth targets and KPIs, while sharing valuable customer and market insights to help drive the wider commercial strategy.

You will take ownership of the regional sales pipeline and act as the creator and custodian of the region’s strategic plan, working with the regional team to develop, maintain and deliver against key objectives. You will ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded and actively progressed, while supporting the Regional Business Development Manager in ensuring key customers have clear strategic plans in place and that opportunities for growth are maximised.

YOU

You will:

Be an ambitious, proactive Account Manager with a strong track record of success and a proven ability to develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
Be highly motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships, influence and engage key decision-makers.
Be a self-disciplined and confident decision-maker who takes ownership of their performance and is accountable for delivering results.
Be able to actively listen, allowing you to analyse prospective customer needs, determine client requirements and ascertain potential solutions.
Have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer relationships, opportunities, tasks and follow-ups effectively.
Be goal-driven and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets, KPIs and business objectives.
Be a collaborative team player who works effectively across Sales, Marketing and other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Possess a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and commercial opportunities within target sectors.
Be confident handling objections and rejection, with the resilience and determination to keep opportunities moving forward.
Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to gather, interpret and use customer and market data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for growth.
