Gordon Forsyth Building Services (GFBS) is a long‑established and reputable construction company with an in‑house workshop and manufacturing facility based in Edinburgh. We deliver a wide range of high‑quality refurbishments, bespoke joinery installations, historic renovations and new build homes across the city and surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team on a full-time basis.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will carry out:

- High quality surface preparation

- Interior and exterior painting to a consistently high standard

- Wallpaper hanging

- Finishing work associated with manufactured joinery

- Co-ordination with other trades

- Professional client interaction

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Proven decorating experience in residential or high-end environments

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Reliability and organisation with the ability to work independently

- Good knowledge of modern paint systems

- Ability to work within a small team and surpass clients expectations

- Driving licence (essential)

This position is ideal for someone who wants to grow with an ambitious company and offers genuine long-term progression for the right individual.
