As an experienced Scrub Nurse/Practitioners or ODP, you’ve probably become used to sacrificing evenings and weekends for the job you love. You’ll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager, Donna. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and you’ll do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. You will also develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation. Finally, you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for ‘total patient’ care in the perioperative phase.

What we’ll look for in you

You’ll be a Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:

knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team will be key in this role
are fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise, along with
have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department
