** Greenhithe, DA9

** 35 hour working week, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, 1 hour for lunch

** 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential to become permanent)

Join Our Finance Team at Trans Global

Are you an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant looking for your next opportunity?

At Trans Global we're looking for a proactive individual to support our busy Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team, subject to business needs and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Accounts Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our finance operations run smoothly by:

Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
Maintaining accurate Purchase Ledger records.
Responding to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
Assisting with general finance administration.
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiency.

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, or a similar Accounts Assistant role.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
A reliable, proactive and team-oriented approach.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience within freight forwarding, logistics or transport.
