Directorate: Children’s Services
Pay Level: 5, £30,160 - £35,530 (fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance) (pro rota)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (1 year)
Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
DBS requirement: Enhanced

What you’ll be doing:

Do you enjoy helping people, providing excellent customer service and making a difference to families in your local community?

We are looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Assistant Information & Advice Officer to join our Family Information Service team on a part-time basis.

You will be the first point of contact for families, carers and professionals seeking information about childcare, early education, family support services and local opportunities. Providing advice through telephone, digital and face-to-face channels, you will ensure customers receive clear, accurate and impartial information and are connected to the services that best meet their needs.

The role also includes supporting community outreach activities, attending events, maintaining online information, coordinating communications, updating records and contributing to the successful delivery of the Parent Champions programme.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills who is passionate about supporting children, families and communities.
