Office Assistant / Project Co-ordinator

Location: Sale, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-Time/Part Time, Office Based

We are a growing structural steel company based in Sale and are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Assistant / Project Co-ordinator to join our team.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that will involve supporting the successful delivery of structural steel projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will act as a key link between our office, site operatives, suppliers, and clients, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Co-ordinating multiple structural steel projects from commencement through to completion.
Procuring materials, equipment, and site-specific requirements including skips, plant hire, access equipment, and other project necessities.
Monitoring project progress and ensuring all elements are in place for smooth project delivery.
Liaising with site operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are progressing as planned.
Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and responding to enquiries.
Maintaining accurate project records, schedules, and documentation.
Assisting with general office administration and project support duties.
Working closely with management to identify and resolve project-related issues.

Requirements

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in project co-ordination, administration, construction, engineering, or a related industry would be advantageous.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
