About The Role

A competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000
A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £43,178, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities
40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.

We’ll equip you for success from day one — with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

Where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the Liverpool cluster, covering areas like Liverpool (City Centre & Suburbs), Bootle, Crosby, Formby, Maghull, Kirkby, Prescot, Huyton, Speke, Garston. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments - no reactive callouts, just organised, pre‑booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.

Earnings That Motivate - enjoy a market-competitive base salary of £38,625, with the opportunity to increase your earnings up to £50,000 through bonuses and premium-rate overtime. A full-time 40-hour week, with Monday–Saturday availability (8am–8pm), offers flexibility and stability

You're someone who gets people. This isn’t just spanners and engines—our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. What you’ll need
Either:
NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
or
5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
and
A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
