Part of the James Hall & Co. family, Graham Eyes Butchers brings over 40 years of butchery expertise to SPAR stores across the North of England. From locally sourced meats to award-winning sausages, we’re committed to quality, tradition, and great taste – right at your local SPAR.

Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: 39 hours per week

About the Role
If you’re looking to build a career with a secure and stable company, develop a new skill, and progress within a growing business, then becoming a Meat Counter Assistant at Graham Eyes could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
From day one, you will receive full training and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and confidence in the role. Your responsibilities will be varied and will include:

Preparing fresh meat products to high standards of quality and presentation
Assisting with cutting, trimming, and portioning meat (with training provided)
Accurately date coding products in line with company and food safety standards
Carrying out temperature checks to ensure compliance and food safety
Delivering excellent customer service at the meat counter by serving, advising, and engaging with customers
Keeping displays well-stocked, attractive, and fresh throughout the day
Following strict hygiene, cleaning, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Supporting your colleagues and working as part of a close-knit team
