Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills, work alongside experienced chefs, and contribute to delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal applicant will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and components for menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
Cook and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for efficient kitchen operations.
Support the team during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
Assist with plating dishes attractively before serving to customers or plating for delivery.
Contribute ideas for menu development and improvements based on customer feedback and culinary trends.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is essential.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in fast-paced settings requiring multitasking.
Experience serving or working directly with customers is an advantage but not mandatory.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts who are eager to grow their skills within a professional kitchen setting.
