Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Duty Manager/Supervisor to oversee our dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and possess strong leadership skills to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Ensure high-quality food and excellent customer service
- Supervise staff and provide training as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, including bartending, cooking, or hospitality roles
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant operations
- Leadership qualities to drive success in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidate will work with the General Manager and Front of House Team, in our West Didsbury branch, to prepare the restaurant for service and champion consistency of product, and service, in their absence. It is their duty to see that the restaurant and bar areas are fully prepared and maintained in line with company standards and to ultimately ensure that we EXCEED EXPECTATIONS ALWAYS!

To actively enhance to the overall guest experience through personal interaction with the guests.
To work with the General Manager in improving service and hospitality delivery based on customer and business reporting.

To anticipate potential guest dissatisfaction and make attempts to resolve issues earlier.

Problem Solving & Judgement!

To be accountable for decision making in the restaurant when managing the shift or opening the restaurant in the morning.
Be accountable for the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager or another Front of House (FOH) Manager.

To minimise misunderstandings by ensuring that all messages are communicated clearly and are understood by guests and colleagues.
To pro-actively inform the General Manager of under performers within the team.

General:

To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
To adhere to dress, equipment and personal hygiene standards at all times.
To attend work when required by checking the rota on a regular basis.
To adhere to Health & Safety, Fire, Food Safety and licensing regulations at all times.
To notify the manager on duty of any accidents.
To continuously improve the quality of the restaurant’s operating standards
