Job Summary
We are seeking motivated Trainee Beef Trimmers to join our food production team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in meat processing within a regulated environment. The role is ideal for individuals interested in developing skills in food safety, meat trimming, and production processes, with opportunities for growth and training. All positions are paid, and the role provides a solid foundation for a career in the food manufacturing industry.

Duties

Assist experienced beef trimmers in preparing and trimming beef cuts according to specified standards
Follow strict HACCP and food safety protocols to ensure product quality and safety
Operate basic equipment used in meat processing under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the work area
Support the team in packaging and labelling finished products accurately
Participate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge of meat processing techniques
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during shifts

Skills

Basic understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
Interest in food production processes and meat processing techniques
Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for operating simple machinery is advantageous
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Basic maths skills for measuring and portioning tasks
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
