Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medication procedures and a commitment to patient safety. This position offers valuable experience within a professional pharmacy environment, with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication advice under supervision
Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
Support inventory management by stock checking and reordering supplies as needed
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans

Qualifications

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or related field is advantageous
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
