Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tipper Driver Class 2 to join our team. Based at GF Job Limited’s Castlecraig Quarry the successful candidate will be responsible for operating tipper trucks to transport materials efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires a professional driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our quarry and civils operations.

Duties

Safely operate Class 2 tipper lorries for the transportation of materials across designated routes
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws and company policies
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
Ensure secure placement and compliance with safety standards
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and site teams
Perform required maintenance checks on the vehicle, including fluid levels, tyre pressure, and brake function
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations

Qualifications

Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial driver, ideally with tipper trucks experience
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving and material transportation
