Full job description

Office Manager

Merlin Electro Plating Ltd is a specialist metal finishing company offering a wide range of electroplating and surface treatment services to customers across multiple industries. We are seeking an experienced and organised Office Manager to support our growing business and oversee key administrative, commercial, and financial processes.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Enjoy a permanent 4-day working week, giving you a three-day weekend every week.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing customer and supplier contracts, terms, and commercial documentation.
Managing day-to-day office operations and administration.
Maintaining and updating company MRP/ERP systems.
Producing reports, analysing business data, and managing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
Processing invoices, purchase orders, and financial records using Xero accounting software.
Supporting sales, purchasing, production, and management teams with administrative and operational tasks.
Managing customer communications, documentation, and record-keeping.
Assisting with purchasing administration, stock control, and supplier coordination.
Ensuring company records, policies, and procedures are maintained accurately and confidentially.

Requirements

Previous experience in an Office Manager, Operations Administrator, Commercial Administrator, or similar role.
Experience reviewing contracts and commercial documentation.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, formulas, and data analysis.
Experience using MRP, ERP, or manufacturing management systems.
Working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
