Kitchen Porter / Commis Chef – Join a Legendary Salisbury Pub!
Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Salisbury’s most iconic pubs, working alongside a talented and supportive team of chefs. Whether you're a recent catering graduate or someone eager to develop strong foundational kitchen skills, this role offers exceptional opportunities for growth, training and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the smooth and efficient running of all kitchen production areas
Supporting chefs with food preparation
Cleaning and maintaining pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
Ensuring all kitchen work areas meet HACCP and food safety standards
Organising and storing crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment
Keeping kitchen floors clean and safe through regular sweeping and mopping
Managing waste responsibly, including emptying bins when full
Checking and maintaining the condition of kitchen equipment
Reporting any equipment faults to the Head Chef and helping arrange repairs
Keeping storerooms stocked, clean and well-organised
Minimising breakages and maintaining high standards of care
Following daily and weekly cleaning rotas
Attending company training sessions when required
Accepting, checking and correctly storing food deliveries
Assisting in other areas of the pub when needed
Using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
Ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared and clean for the following day
