Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in office administration to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation. The successful candidate will provide vital support across various administrative functions, ensuring efficiency and professionalism in all tasks undertaken.

Duties

Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence via email, post, and phone calls with professional phone etiquette
Organising and maintaining physical and electronic filing systems
Data entry and updating records accurately using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing calendars
Preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation as required
Handling administrative enquiries promptly and courteously
Supporting team members with administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency
Managing office supplies inventory and placing orders when necessary

Requirements

Proven office experience or administrative experience in a GP surgery
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, clinical systems (EMIS)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
Good data entry skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
