About the Role

Tower Estates is an established, independent, family-run estate and letting agency in Scarborough.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and personable Sales & Lettings Coordinator to join our friendly team.

This is a varied office-based role supporting both our Sales Manager and Lettings Manager. You'll help progress property sales and new tenancies, deal with customers and solicitors, keep paperwork and records up to date and, importantly, make sure outstanding jobs are followed through.

This is not a sales negotiator or commission-based position. It would particularly suit someone with estate agency and lettings experience who enjoys the organisation, progression and customer-service side of the property business.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the progression of property sales from offer agreed through to completion.
Liaising with buyers, sellers, solicitors, conveyancers and other agents.
Chasing outstanding information and helping keep transactions moving.
Supporting the progression of new tenancies.
Liaising with landlords and prospective tenants.
Coordinating referencing and tenancy paperwork.
Assisting with renewals and other tenancy administration.
Keeping our property and customer records accurate and up to date.
Answering telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
Keeping customers informed and providing a friendly, professional service.
Supporting the Sales and Lettings Managers with general administration.
Following jobs and enquiries through to completion rather than waiting to be chased.

Who We're Looking For

We would like you to have previous experience within residential estate agency and lettings, with at least some understanding of both sides of the business.

You don't need to know everything — training will be provided on our systems, procedures and any areas where you need additional knowledge.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:

Highly organised and good at keeping track of several things at once.
Friendly, confident and professional with customers.
Comfortable speaking on the telephone.
Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
Patient and persistent when chasing outstanding information.
Accurate with paperwork and record keeping.
Calm and professional when dealing with more difficult enquiries.
Comfortable working independently as well as being part of a small team.
Reliable, trustworthy and willing to help colleagues when needed.
