Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent

£9.82 – £14.11 per hour (depending on experience)
37-40 hours per week
Closed for 2 weeks at Christmas

Location: Howden Pre-School

Due to an increase in children joining our setting, we are looking for an OUTSTANDING, passionate and creative Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team at an exciting time in the nursery’s development.

We are currently working towards Curiosity Approach Accreditation, and are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating inspiring environments where children can explore, discover and thrive.

About the Role

You will play an important role in supporting children aged 0–5 years, helping to create a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children’s learning and development through play
Observing, assessing and planning in line with the EYFS
Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
Contributing to a creative and engaging learning environment
Supporting children’s individual needs and development

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Is passionate about early years education
Brings energy, creativity and enthusiasm to their work
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
Builds warm and positive relationships with children and families
Is committed to providing high-quality care and education

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year’s experience working with children aged 0–5
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
Experience carrying out observations and planning
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
Willingness to complete a DBS check

Desirable

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Paediatric First Aid qualification
Current DBS
