Full job description

We are seeking an organised, reliable, and proactive Property & Accounts Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role involving the management of rental properties, basic accounts duties, and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities

Rental Property Administration

Booking repairs, maintenance, and compliance checks with contractors.
Monitoring expiry dates of certificates, inspections, and other property-related requirements, ensuring renewals are arranged in a timely manner.
Liaising directly with tenants regarding rent payments, maintenance issues, and general enquiries.
Recording monies received and arranging payments to contractors and suppliers.
Carrying out property inspections and reporting findings.

Basic Accounts Duties

Processing supplier invoices.
Resolving supplier invoice queries and disputes.
Preparing monthly payment runs.
Raising and sending customer invoices.
Carrying out credit control activities and chasing outstanding payments.

General Office Administration

Preparing and sending quotations.
Liaising with contractors and suppliers.
Communicating with customers and providing administrative support.
Assisting with general office duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
Good computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as property inspections will form part of the role. Business mileage expenses will be reimbursed.
A professional and friendly manner when dealing with tenants, customers, contractors, and suppliers.

Experience & Training

Previous experience in property and lettings management, accounts administration, office administration, or similar roles would be preferred but is not essential. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The role involves the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sage Accounts. Experience with Sage is beneficial; however, full training will be provided.
