About the Role
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operation of the nursery while leading and motivating your room team. You'll work closely with the Nursery Manager, Senior Management Team, and SENDCo, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of nursery leadership and management.
This role offers a unique opportunity to understand how a successful childcare business operates while making a positive impact on children's learning and development every day.
You will be involved in:
- Leading and inspiring a team of childcare practitioners
- Supporting children's learning and development through the EYFS framework
- Building strong partnerships with parents and families
- Conducting nursery show-rounds and promoting the benefits of our setting to prospective families
- Supporting staff wellbeing, development, and performance
- Assisting with staff meetings, supervisions, and reviews
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently maintained
- Supporting SEND and safeguarding responsibilities and attending professional meetings where appropriate
- Creating engaging content for nursery software platforms and social media channels
- Helping to organise and participate in nursery events, fundraising activities, and community initiatives
- Monitoring quality standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Undertaking opening and closing checks and supporting the day-to-day management of the nursery
About You

Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Experience working within a nursery setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication skills with parents, colleagues, and external professionals
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- Creative, resourceful, and solution-focused approach
